Has it really been a month since I wrote last? Wow.

My deepest apologies - but if it's any consolation, you haven't missed much.

I have been working with Abigail for a month now and it has been an absolute scream. She is such a confident, well behaved and easy going little girl. We have so much fun each day that I actually feel guilty for taking Shannons money! In November I will be addng another little girl to the day. Her name is Adiline, she is 15 months old, and the daughter of yet another friend of Rich's. I'm glad the girls will have each other to learn from.

I have been keeping up with my volunteer work. I helped Easter Seals raise over 7 thousand dollars, and had a lot of fun doing it. Next, I would really like to start volunteering for the teen dances. We'll see.

Brandy and I are joining the photography club here on base. We will be able to develop our own black and whites every Tuesday, and chit chat with the other members. We are both pretty excited about it.

Speaking of Brandy, I have to stop and give her Kudos. She is a great girl and I am very lucky to have her as a friend. Her boyfriend works with Rich and is also over in Afghanistan, so naturally we have a lot to complain to each other about! Naw, but she really has been there whenever I needed her and I hope I have done the same for her.

Rich is doing well in Afghanistan. He can't tell me much about how things are going, but I do know that he is running a lot (with Mark - Abi's dad -and Nathan). He calls every Saturday and emails me quite a bit. So far I have been very okay with him being gone. I am surprised at myself. Especially when those rockets hit camp. I am constantly flipping through quote books, trying to keep up his morale. I like that role and am finding it fits quite comfortably! I like having to been strong and supportive. I am both of these things (after a life of "bucking up" you are damn right I am). And being supportive helps to fill that nurturing thing that women have.

He will be home in five days, though we are no longer planning the trip to Europe. It wouldn't work out on the Army end, and I seem to have lost my immigration papers in the move. I have a photocopy, so I may take the chance of not getting back into the country if we decide to go on a last minute trip. I would rather wait until the tour is over - then go on a great trip.

Well, I told you that you haven't really missed anything. Two more weeks of work left, then I am off to Mississauga with Rich for a week. I will try to keep up with this a little more often. Individual stories are much more exciting than an overall sum up.

Be good everybody and I'll see some of you in a couple of weeks.
