Ottawa was a blast! I didn't get to do the things I wanted, but it wasn't on account of rain. Quite the contrary...it was so hot and sunny that I couldn't go because it was too hot for Yellow. She and I managed to make it to the Paliament buildings from where we were staying at Richard's sisters, but the walkway there was so hot that Yellow kept lifting her paws and couldn't sit down. Ouch!
We all went out for dinner, out for some drinks and then dancing. And I have to add that the salsa scene in Ottawa SUCKS. There a classes around, certainly, but there are only 2 clubs to go to (which aren't very good). Bummer. Suday we went to the market. I absolutely loved that. I would have liked to have spent more time there, but when I am shopping, looking at things and taking in my experience, I am very aware that I am also dragging two guys around behind me. Yellow, of course, if much like me. She would loved to have stayed and have people pet her and tell her how beautiful she is. Who wouldn't?
The work week was a bit of a roller coaster. My supervisor isn't really into meeting with me and Chelsie to discuss where things could imporve - and there are areas where things really need to improve! By the end of the day my frustration level is pretty high. I won't complain here though...Richard does a great job of listening. Next week is the week that I have planned the activities, so I will have to organize the day. Maybe that will help things to run a little smoother. I'll let you know how it goes.
Rich has gone home this weekend. He'll be back mid week sometime. Half of me is relieved and the other half is sad. The relieved half knows I can clean and the only messes that occur thereafter will be my own (a bit of karma at work for the messes I have left behind). The sad half knows that it is not much longer before he leaves for Afghanistan. Next weekend we are going camping. I'll have to do some brainstorming this week on that one...
Well, that is all for this edition. I think it is best if I write once a week (on the weekends perhaps). Otherwise you are going to get a lot of me complaining about my day! Have a great week everyone!
