Day three on the farm.....

I arrived on Monday after a beautiful drive through the Algonquin Park. For 69 kilometres my eyes were peeled for a moose, but none were present. Surprising, since Richard's rendition of a moose call was quite believable (if not hilarious!)

Jayde and I pitched my tent at the top of the hill next to the fire pit in the flatest spot we could find. The sun was out now and again and Yellow was off chasing rabbits and following chipmunk trails. On night number one the half moon shone brilliantly, lighting my way from the house to the hill, and the stars were out in their usual astonishing country numbers. Yellow and I sat in the tent and stared together out the window for quite some time. This is the life!

On Day two Maw-maw arrived and we all went to pick her up from the airport. Three generations under one roof for a week and a half. This chance doesn't come along very often. We've shared pictures, stories and a sing song by the fire.

Last night it rained most of the night. I was excited to sleep in the tent to see how well it would stand the wind and rain. This morning I can report that there wasn't a leak to be seen. Good to know! It amazed me while I lie in my sleeping back that all that was separating me from the great outdoors was nothing more than some nylon fabric and a tarp beneath me. This is definately the life.

Now, onto day three.....
