Saturday June 7th - 11:29 p.m. I had a great time helping Bea out with her garage sale. I can't believe I actually managed to get up at 5:45am. Gone are the days of getting up before the sun arose to check on the cattle in the fields. I managed to pick myself up a nice ruck sack (which really would have come in handy during the England days), as well as a sweet bear that stayed on my shoulder for hours. The sale of the day, however, was littel Mikey. You may know him from such films at Monsters Inc. He was by far the coolest dude on the tarp and I longed for him to find a good home. He did in the end. Good luck little Mikey. I spent the rest of the day reading the Thornbirds. I'm well into it now. I lost touch with reality today as I was completely invested in the story. I was there, in the cane field, at the house while Meggie had her baby. I am so furious with Luke for turning out to be such a git. Will Father Ralph ever leave his faith for his love? Will Meggie make it home. I really think she should..... I also headed over to a friends house later in the evening to lend her an ear and a shoulder. She has just broken up with her boyfriend, but as I came to learn this evening, she is strong and has a good head on her shoulders. With much to look forward to, I hope she feels better soon. It certainly is never easy, no matter what the terms. It was nice for me as well. I got a chance to talk about some things that were on my mind....you know....girl talk. I'm finding that I have been doind a lot more conversation dominating since I don't really have anyone to talk to. Those of you who have got me on the phone, I apologize for my babble, but I thank you for patiently listening. You are true friends. Ball practice tomorrow. I also have to tell them that I will be missing 3 games as I've decided to leave for mum's tomorrow. The are going to be mighty disappointed because we are a player down as it is. Hope they'll still want me in a week or so. That's all for now. Back to the Thornbirds.
